| Hello!
I think it's very interesting. Here in Germany we have just one "really" forum about Siemens- Flashing, Patching and so on... (But we have a few good programmers, too :D)
But I see so much russian-speaking forums, and there a so lot really good and usefull developements for mobiles of a company that doesn't exists anymore...
So I'm asking me if there are so much Siemens-Users in Russia?! I think it's a very intersting question! 
Here in Germany are not so much siemens-users anymore.

| There were many Siemens-users... But now we are all preparing to get Sony-Ericsson phones, because
1) Siemens mobiles died with "BenQ Mobile" in Germany. We understood we'd never see any EGOLD or SGOLD phone more...
2) F*ck*ng BenQ not going to supply Russia with their phones.
3) We are the last generation of Siemens-users. We have a lot of talanted programmers and engineers, but we can't even kill this foolish ASP and fix sms-problem... We would meke it only if we got source codes of phones... but it's unreal. And a new firmware for e/el71 will been never seen Everything is awful. Siemens was. P.S. I want source codes of ASP

| Yes, here in Indonesia, we had only one site with truly working hard on Siemens community to exist. Was, we had good programmer, if anyone knew RizaPN. Now we were got many learn and resource about Siemens much on russian sites, germany too. We appreciate it and respect it, till now they were not stopping exploring and exploring. But day by day there are always new member here in my country, some said "Siemens, to anyone who know technology", he..i liked that. Now in Indonesian market, getting hard to had repair on our handset, E71 and EL71 were not comes till know, we just had to import it from Germany.

| Well in poland, most popular are Sony-Erricsson mobiles. In my school i saw some Siemens phones (around 5%). But some people are buing EL71 and EF81, because of low price in Poland. But... every time when somebody asks me, what model of phone i have, and i say "Siemens", i've got a response like "Siemens is shit"... :\
In poland there are some good programmers, the software for B-S phones was made also in Poland (Wrocław)  But, i think that the most of stuff for Siemens is in Germany and Russia (eventually Czech, and then China)
I like Siemens, because i can change almost everything in phone. I can laugh of these SE users, which are asking me for "WMP 11 player style", or "Big clock on mainscreen"

| Updated info, in this September 2008, our official Siemens distributor in Indonesia will not support any handsets or parts guarantee, and they said all things in their warehouse will be "scrapped", some saya scrap means to waste and burn out Could it be the end of all What about in Russia?

I never heard about that yet, but here in germany it's cheaper to buy this phones at eBay. I payed about 80€ for my E71 with Mico-SD (1GB).
Sometimes there are some E71 for 50€!
I'll buy a proto of it soon, they're avaible for 35€, and I can use all parts of it like the display and so on.

In Poland, there are only some of B-S phones in shops. I saw only EF81 and EL71. EL71 is rare, now. I've seen E71 only 1 time. (cost 300zł = 3000 rub = ~100€ )
It's a pity, that my phone has fallen one time from height ~1m on concrete. I have a one small "hole" or how to call this in plastic. But the rest is ok.  I don't like scratches in back case of phone. Also, back case for me is shaky, since my battery got big.
I very don't like thieves in Poland. I had to run about 2 times from them. :\

Well' it's really cheap. I had my E71 bought for 4500 rub = ~ 140€. Actually I haven't bought it, I had my mp3-player (costed 4200 rub) broken only after a month of usage and a shop, where I had bought it, tried to repair it according to their quarantee but unsuccessfull, so they gave me money back. I thought for a very short time how to spend them and now my E71 is nearly 1,5 year old. And still it's hard to find E71 cheaper then 3500 rub, even used ones. Unfortuanally, once I was robbed and lost my Siemens C65, it was a nice mobile of the company...

| I didn't know is this a cheap price, i've got my EL71 full set with 194 USD, it's a second handset, but all goods till now. And it was so hard to get EL71 or E71 here, because they haven't been registered yet on our tax department of imported stuff, so we must gave additional payment to get it in hand. The only way is follow the rules or by handcarry It's cheap there Maggot, i wish i could get one of E71 here in my hands I'm wondering is it still ready and easy to get brand new E71 or EL71 out there? Some of our Siemens Lover wanted them...
