| As I remember maximum length of English 5-long sms is 730 (or 760, don't remember exactly), so why 512?

reading from sms.dat supports the sms with the any length.
but reading from mss-file not.

1.read from mss support any length of text. maxlen of text for export to txt-file of one sms is 1024, if it is over the maxlen, it would not pickoff :).
2.+header icon, new function 0x2AB needed, anybody have any suggestion for the icons ?
3.translit is added to the option menu, test it.

| First post updated with new function. Russian translit works  Are Polish included too? About icons - it seems, we need another icon for allsms... Maybe need icon for mainmenu  no, better. Still asking for prompt (Save to draft? yes/no) on:
- exit "Create new sms" if some text typed already

| Ok, i undone that 165-sms patch. ) Here is 1 sms (mss-file) that turnoff phone, when this mss is situated in "IN" folder of elf. It's long, yea. But it opens via MssLinker.elf! Can't test new version with long mss-reading.. But i recieved a sms more than 1024 symbols. Would you make an 2048 bytes capacity for future cutting problems, concering a long sms capacity? Please, give function for new version of elf on newsgold? And.. I don't understood, you need icons for elf? :] I have a wiiiide collection of them! Can help.

| So, if I turn on MySMSYS, and I recieve SMS,then I read sms in MySMSYS, then I don't have SMS in standard browser but in MySMSYS I have this sms... I understand

| if you want to see it in the standard bowser, please disable the ChackBox "Auto Save As File", or it would be save as file when you view the sms.

I have the same problem. I tried to enable "Popup on SMS" and set vibration as notify. First message came with Popup window and vibra. I pressed button to read it, read and close. Then second sms came WITHOUT popup and without vibra My phone is E71 of course

I can read yours 20081028062655.mss without pick-off. ------------------------------------- a test version.
now it works with lang.txt, and icons,
the language inside is English.

| Now, with 1024-sms version, that mss files are readable! Thanks! :-) So, a subject of not readable sms from SMS.dat. I have 6 big, not ended sms in phone. They dont shown by elf! Could you make something fix for it, please? A SMS.dat folder is in attach. After..: Em, lang.txt english is wrong.. The items in 40% of cases are named wrong!
And what icon in front of menu items must be? On my phone there are only empty places there.. English:
In field From: in export, if Nick (Name, Surname of sender) does not exist or just an adr.book entry doesn't exist for that number, in txt file writes Unknown number, and below line - a number :-) May be just No name or smth kinda that?
Text scroll everywhere should be stopped, when last line achieve a bottom side of display, like in phone.
A text Word count: together with icon and T9 item covers a number of symbols!.. May be name it Symbols: ? Russian:
В поле From: при экспорте, при отсутствии ника (имени, фамилии отправителя) или просто отсутствии записи в адр.книге пишется Unknown number, и снизу номер :-) Лучше написать No name или что то подобное.
Скролл текста sms останавливать, когда нижняя ее строчка дойдет до нижней границы экрана (как сделано в телефоне)
Текст Word count: вместе с иконкой и значком Т9 заслоняет количество символов sms! можно назвать Symbols: ?

thanks, but mss-file is helpless for me. that happens at decoding the sms.dat, not reading the mss file. to windes
it's not a bug.
but that is dangerous to read a not full received sms or delete it.
by the way, why there are soo many not full received sms?  all my sms are full received.

I think there must be parameter of time between signals of SLI and whether it disabled (0?), but I don't know what values can it be I will ask somebody or maybe it was described in Library theme on Siemens-Club forum Going to test this version. If you don't want your elfs' names to be changed when upload them on forum, you need to rename it by your hand. That numbers instead of name appears due to repeat of the same name. That's why I always add version number to elf's name

| 2BingK: Ok,i try recieve tomorrow longer sms,and than I send u sms.dat But,i have next problem :-D If i recieve sms with 149 and more symbols, then in MySMSYS I see only 149 symbols (SMS is not complette) (Try use my SMS.dat), and in standard browser I have more than 149 symbols... (Complete SMS), do u know where is the problem? Thanks for help, and this elf is very very useful for me Great Job

it will been done in the future version. but i think it is hard to get the correct sms-segment count when we type a sms.
